Mike Newlin, Evaluation Director. As the first employee of Duerr Evaluation, Mike has been with the company since 1984. Mike completed both his BA and MA degrees in Social Science at CSU, Chico. Since becoming an Evaluation Director in 1991, Mike has managed more than 75 evaluation projects and has written 12 successful grant proposals (with total awards over $6.5 million). He has also taught grant writing at CSU, Chico for the Department of Health and Community Services. Married to his beautiful wife Vickie and the proud father of three children, Mike was actively involved in their education and as a volunteer for several Chico Unified School District projects. In his spare time, Mike is an avid sports fan, golfer and outdoors' enthusiast.
